A native New Yorker, Eric Ruben grew up listening to the British Invasion and Motown.

As he took piano and cello lessons, he watched the Monkees and Hee Haw on TV. Mainstream radio of the 60s and 70s, musical theater, and standards all got absorbed into his creative process. Other influences are too numerous to list.

Eric has performed on stages all over the United States. He’s been in musical theater productions in New York and Boston, and you may have seen him in performance with many groups including the acapella group, Serious Fun. Years of performance and life experience have culminated in his unique and soulful singer-songwriter sound.

Eric is currently recording his own music with legendary sound engineer/producer Jay Messina. He’s also performs with the brilliantly talented vocalist Colleen Messina.
